When entering into satanism there are common pitfalls that one must consider. The first and most important consideration is this: You do not need to belong to an organization to be a Satanist! The most important thing about Satanism is your own independence, so why hand that to an organization? When you join an org they will usually tell you what to believe, how to act, what to think and how to behave. Are you going to accept that? Shoudn't Satanism be something more than just an inverted copy of Christianity? Shouldn't it be more than just an organization telling you what to believe? Shouldnt you be out there discovering what to believe, what to think, and how to act on your own? Satanist organizations have a monopoly on your free will and I want you to consider that. In this video series, a two part series, I discuss some of these common pitfalls and how you can start out in Satanism on the path of independence.

Hello VenusSatanas!

I have a question for YOU. If I were to sell my soul to The Devil, is it GUARANTEED to fulfill all of my guilty pleasures of life (Sex, Drugs, Excessive Money, and LOVE with the person of my choosing)?

I heard that these wishes only last for 24 years, but I also heard that you can't redo the spell once the time is over.

I would do it, but I need some clarifications of WHAT HAPPENS to a person's lifestyle after selling their soul to The Devil.

@FashionRawkz - the story of selling one's soul is a mythological tale that christians tell so that they can show the glory [and forgiveness] of their god. You can try to do this but i wouldn't depend on it.. there's no magic pill, no final solution that will suddenly make you rich and famous. if it were that easy, then everyone would be doing it, including christians!

@shawneci - I call that book the 'Satanists' primer' its a good introduction but not much more, and if you dont' want to explore beyond that, its fine. Im sure that if you want to make that book your bible, the CoS would be happy to take you in. However, that offers you no freedom, no independence and no autonomy.

Venus I dont get why your making it so longwinded - if you want to get beginner knowledge of Satanism - simply read Anton Lavey's SATANIC BIBLE - thats it - done - the Satanic Bible is written with a very philosophical introduction that is great for people trying to understand the concept.

I've observed that for Athiestic Satanists literature is readily available, where's for Thiestic Satanists literature is far harder to come by... LeVeyan Satanism and it's various offshoots are fine in terms of the exploration of the self, but that type (Athiestic) doesn't recognise any supernatural force/deity in their belief system, but if you believe that Satan does exist, and have utilized that force, as I did once, and wish to learn more, then more Theistic guidance sources are needed!...

Satanism and spirituality in general should always be based on personal experience and not beliefs dictated from somebody else. The sad thing is the amount of Satanists there are now claiming only their way is the true way and others are wrong. I thought we were above that, they almost remind me of Christians.

GREAT videos Venus, there is no such thing as FREE WILL from any context, all thoughts words and deeds have consequences and therefore cannot be FREE definitively in any context. What occurs is at the POINT where what is perceived as FREE WILL is executed the consequences loop round until the consequences have played OUT where one can make what is perceived as another FREE CHOICE a thing that definitively cannot be so as a consequence of the consequences therein, most loop continually ignorantly
