So you may or may not know that General and I went through some serious problems this winter. For different reasons he became difficult to ride, started bucking, rearing and pretty much being very dangerous to be around. I lost all my confidence with him and eventually I advertised him for loan, as a last option. I was so upset but I didn't know what else to do.
Then an amazing lady came into my life, a Parelli Instructor, she was visiting the area and she came to see me. I had a 2 hour lesson, and everything changed in that time. I suddenly had new ideas, new ways of approaching General. She gave me the confidence I needed to pick myself up and carry on, and make something of this horse. Its been two months since my lesson, and by just spending hours and hours of undemanding time together, playing on the ground, and re-building our trust in each other, we have begun to start a whole new journey. This time, it will be better. I hope to start riding him again in the next few months. I love this horse more than anything!
