http://www.PacificFoods.com In this segment from Organic Living TV with the Hippy Gourmet our very own Gastronaut and sustainability reporter Chris Nolder makes an awesome Freestyle Smoothie using the BlendTec Total Blender. Chris also features the delicious Pacific Foods Hemp Milk in this smoothie, highlighting all of the incredible benefits that Hemp milk has for the human body, while also being a delicious substitute for dairy. The BlendTec Blender works like a charm and can create a whole menu of quick and easy dishes (which we plan on featuring a lot in upcoming episodes). Organic Living TV gives BlendTec and Pacific Foods our highest 5-star rating for the best organic kitchens.

  • The music makes it really weird, like your brewing some nuclear drink....and by the way finally a video where they use blendtec for FOOD

  • Never tried Hemp milk, but I love that it has Omegas in it. Will have to try this in my Blendtec!

  • @LifeRegenRevolution I just got an old Osterizer Classic VIII from Value Village. I have to say it is amazing! I just made my first green smoothie and all I can say is wow! I hear vintage ones are more powerful and better than what is on the market today. For those on a budget like me who want a powerful blender, check out value village. They always seem to have good vintage blenders (right next to some shitty modern house blenders). I am guessing it is due to death rate..

  • That hemp milk description with your voice and that music made it epic. I was just like WHOOAAAAA lol

  • Does anyone know if it's okay to use the Blendtec to crush raw chicken bones? I want to use it fir my dog's food.

  • Entertaining but also thank you for telling us about the cookbook/recipe book included. So I guess it's worth the $400 right?

  • @rawmark Yes, but when you NEED a tamper, alas - you don't have one. That must be why someone has created tampers for blentec to sell on EBay...

  • @rawmark

For just $ 60 on Ebay, the Hamilton Beach Dual Wave Blender is excellent for those who cant afford the Huge price of the Blendtec

it has 2 blades in an 80 oz Jar and is actually quite powerful compared to standard blenders.

  • @hyperm0d

you are Right , that 4 " blade is sooooo Large, an amazing container !

  • For those of you interested in the Blendtec, make sure to get the Blendtec model with the 4" blade (the is the one used here I believe). The standard one comes with a 3" blade. As willphule says, check out comparisons (in my experience most of them favor Blendtec but most say that you will be happy with either). I prefer several features the Belndtec has, including the fact that you can walk away. Do you really want to stand there the whole time you are making stuff?
