What does it mean, "Activision gave Guitar Hero the axe"? I know that probably sounds incredibly stupid to ask.

@HumanGuitarTV1 Activision is the company that created Guitar Hero the video game. When you give something "the axe" that means its gone, fired, done with. If you break up with a girlfriend you can say, "I gave her the axe." If a guy gets fired from a job you could say, "Did you hear about Mark? The boss gave him the axe." Hope that clears it up:)
