Haters on YouTube

I hate haters... wait... what does that make me? I made this little video at work when I was bored. The lab gets really quiet in the late afternoon, so that was the perfect time to whip out my webcam.

This following paragraph was from a video by Katatawnic and his video: Trolling 101 - - -
Internet Troll:
One who deliberately (the purpose usually being self-amusement) starts an argument / makes derogatory remarks in a manner which attacks others on a forum without in any way listening to the arguments proposed by his or her peers. S/he will spark such an argument via the use of ad hominem attacks (i.e. "You're nothing but a fanboy" is a popular phrase; negative remarks about one's appearance/character is another common tactic) with no substance or relevence to back them up, as well as straw man arguments, which s/he uses to simply avoid addressing the essence of the issue.

The desired result of trolling is to achieve an emotional response from the recipient of this behavior. This is how the trolls "get off" or, as I often refer to this, mental masturbation.

The most effective approach to trolling behavior is to ignore and block the person. If s/he comes back with another account ("sock puppet" is a common phrase for this tactic), continue to ignore and block until the "troll" gives up on his/her quest.

If you DO respond to trolling behavior, do NOT give any sort of emotional response! Only use logic, rationale, and remain calm & collected no matter how frustrated you may feel. This may stop the attacks. If not, then refer to the previous paragraph.

I get just what you're saying here comes the huge however........ HOWEVER - youtube has guidelines they don't follow and that is WRONG. Hate speech is not free speech, it breeds violence and destruction. Now with account and video cloning (or watch me mirror this video or channel and once youtube does take me down, I'm up and runnin' again within hours) HouseOfPainGroup, here on YT - that's what they're all about. So I'm trying to rally up some people to protest YT and came across your vid. A+++

I totally agree on this video, the best ways of dealing with trolls are to either ignore them if they're too far gone, -or if you have the patience, try and be caring towards them.

(And you have also explained the excessive use of profanity perfectly.)

I agree with you all the way around. It IS fun seeing haters and trolls get more and more insane with every comment that disagrees with the. Spelling, grammar go out the window and profanity flies in. By the way, what's up with that jenna120s? Something's a little off there. Anyway, keep up the good fight.
