The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet - The Pennies 2/3

Two of the neighborhood boys visit Ozzie with some serious business. Both of them have been elected Treasurer of the Tigers Club. They are carrying a jar with a little over three dollars in pennies and ask Ozzie if they can bury the pennies in his yard.

When Ozzie asks why they want to bury the pennies in his yard the boys reply that, "we figure you're about the most 'honestest' guy we know." Ozzie goes along and the pennies are buried in his yard.

When the boys come back to dig them up though, Ozzie has to stall them. What happened to the pennies?
