These dances are from the Kwakwaka'wakw (formerly referred to as the Kwakiutl) from Vancouver Island and the neighbouring coast of British Columbia, Canada.
These dances are from a Potlatch, and the birds with the large beaks are characters from a ceremonial story about two brothers who deep in the woods came across the house of a man eating Giant. The Giant had as his consorts 4 terrifying huge man eating birds and these masks represent those characters. Find more on wikipedia
