@mistersmith6000 I may be wrong but I used to have an RM1X sequencer and you couldnt sample on it like you can with dedicated samplers. Sequencers are for makng tunes and distorting effects and pitches etc and they are used more for dance music and DJ live performance like RM1X, Electribe's, Roland's SP series etc where samplers are used more for production/studio track making like my MPC2500.

i just got my mpc 2000 not the xl and im not familiar other than watching tutorials my problem is when i power it on after connecting midi to my mpk49 mpc says insert mpc 2000 disc needless to say i dont have disc i thought the disc was basically for storage any one familiar with issue please respond thanx..
