The Lars Larson radio show is on Weekdays Noon -- 3PM PT on Newsradio 750 KXL in the Portland Vancouver area and he also has a National radio show. One of the best shows I have listened to in a long time.

Mayor Tim Leavitt is just like a lot of politicians Democrat and Republican that believe once in office they do not have to listen to the people they represent.

This is the same Tim Leavitt that ran on the platform "No Tolls" to get elected and once elected supported tolls. He would have lost the election if he had said this while running.

For so many years we have been paying State and Federal Taxes on Gasoline that we could have bought 10 or more bridges. But the fact is our Governments have used these taxes on other things and it's not sitting in the bank.

We need a Bridge, but we don't need light rail or even tolls on the bridge.

Do you think the people of Portland will be using Light Rail to shop here or spend money here in Vancouver when they can do the same tax free in their state. However, maybe the tolls are a way to keep us from going to Portland to buy tax free unless you pay the Toll(tax) going back and forth.

A special thanks to State Plus for making this video possible

  • @ConstantDistraction The bombshell in this interview and you're appalled at the use of the phrase "Choo choo trains"???? Mayor Leavitt states that he was elected to make decisions, but then later back peddles and says he's not the one writing the check.

  • Choo choo train, Lars? It's electric, and far more energy efficient at transporting people than private vehicles.
