    My mother had this on a 45 and used to play it all of the time especially during the holidays. She had a orange record player. I know she is smiling up in heaven.     Yes, Robert...my mom use to play it throughout the entire Christmas Holiday as well. She use to cry because her mom died on December 22nd. I too am filled with memories right now and teary eyed. So in the Spirit of Christmas we are now offically sister and brother. Have a Merry Christmas Robert and a Blessed New Year!

    I had to look this up after years of hearing White rock Icons do this. I asked my sister, "who did this first" she said Charles Brown 1960...I was like Charlie Brown wrote this? did Lucy do the arrangement? anyway after listening to this I realize I also have heard this all my life being born in 1955. So suck on that Eagles and Bon Jovi!
