@roachsf I do mainly theatre and corporate work here in Toronto, although I am occasionally at the Molson Canadian Amphitheater. I also have done some work with #58 as a permit holder, although I hope to officially join IATSE as an apprentice and get a full card. I am only 23 so I have lots of time.

What are some of the requirements to join 631?

Would you climb out onto one foot steel beams sixty feet over a cancrete arena floor and pull motor points or play with four hundred amps of raw power, maybe you would like to unloaod six 53' tractor trailors in two hours so REGULAR Americans can see a show. All we ask for is compensation for putting our lives on the line when we work. Did you ever think about what it takes to actually make a production happen? No you didn't.Think before you speak.

You all are in a right to work state. That's one of the downsides of living in a state that is right to work... Theater owners and production companies can do as they please. I'll have you all know that I worked location on over 40 Hollywood features... 7 of them in your state. I am non union and always was... I was also never once asked to see my union card. I made a lot of money and put away 50% of what I made. I will be retiring before I am 60. Your union like MPMO is fast becoming history.
