John Chick Show from the Tulsa State Fair, early 1970's. KTUL-TV Channel 8. This video came from some old 2" quad video tapes I found after my father passed away. He worked for channel 8 at the time this was shot. If you look closely, you can see him in front of the stage at the end of the show.

  • I remember John Chick and Roy Clark had a free concert with free Pepsi in McClain Shopping Center in North Tulsa back in the 70's it was next to the Safeway store they were singing "This land is your land this land is my land" lol man I was real young about 8 or 9 Im 42 now will never forget it lol and Im a black guy from the hood lol I think Roy Clark had that red white and blue guitar who was there??

  • Who is this with John Chick, he looks familiar

  • @dalet63 LOL, Jimmie was a rodeoing horse trainer/hell raiser who lived somewhere around Oaks OK. He had a tiny barber shop at Twin Oaks. I remember one Hallowe'en some of the seniors from KHS put the outhouse in back on top of it. A couple of years later, I had my paint mare bred to his really fine stallion, but she had to be put down due to what my clueless little brother did, so I didn't get a foal. Jimmie was famous locally (or maybe infamous), if not on a wider scale.
