@amcaat This Mortal Coil was, essentially, the 4AD House Band. Lonely Is An Eyesore is a one of a kind album. I fell in love with This Mortal Coil, Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Dif Juz and Clan of Xymox because of this CD. It was an amazing era for music, never to be repeated I fear. 41 years old now and this song still brings me to tears.

I can't help but think that Peter Jackson's vision for Middle-Earth was influenced by TMC's aesthetic visuals. It's also no coincidence that Elizabeth Frasier contributed to some of her vocals for Elven music.
