The Ministry of Truth presents: A DOLE-UMENTARY focuses on the areas of unemployment that the Australian government chooses to ignore. Because the Howard Coalition Government seems to think that every welfare recipient is a dole bludger, this documentary sets out to prove the government wrong.

take a married couple with 2 kids they can get upto $1300 a fornight in dole payments , take a hairdresser taking home $500.00 a week where are they better off? the dole

if i was the prime minister of Australia, i would cut unemployment benefits, i would cut newstart, youth, abstudy and austudy allowance as a whole, i would cut unfair law dismissals, i would seek to criminalised unions, and bring back work choices to Australia.

Mate, the dole fucken sucks full stop. Even when you lose your job, try and look for work, rely on your savings until you get the dole and still your struggling to make ends meet.. Not everybody gets the dole and sits around whinging and complaining, you can also thank the ever demanding job market here in Australia where you are contending for 1 job and fighting against hundreds or so people for it. To me the the system has made it the way it is now, not the everyday average bear.

Please understand that John Howard was using National Socialism (read: Nazi polices) to try and make the economy look good.

WFTD is slave labour. I was starving hungry last time, doing the work of a tradesperson and actually was $8 a fortnight worse off than if I had stayed in bed. Work that one out.
