Live 1983 during the Three Musketeers romp through Scandinavia. John Sykes plays a killer outro on this version. The guy is just a wizard on the guitar. I know some of the Lizzy "purists" don't like him because he's too 'metal', but I do.

This performance is from Västerås, Sweden on 7/26/1983. There is a minor tape issue from about 3:40-3:55. This doesn't really detract that much from the performance though. Definitely the definitive version of this song from that tour. Enjoy!

  • u did spell västerås right not bad for a man not coming from sweden like me ;)

  • It's more a product of laziness than not knowing how to spell it for most people.

  • Holy shit. My mother told me about this gig. When she studied at law school she worked at this lunch stop called "Nalles" about 50 kilometers outside of Västerås during summers. One day, Phil Lynott and the thre musketeers walked in and wanted to have the local newspaper translated to English for them. So she sat down with Phil and the gang for a while and translated the review for them. I know it was the day after this gig. Never knew it was available on Youtube. Pretty cool.

  • @wismgism yeah, that post does not belong with this video.I've never watched this vid. They were at their best with Scott,Brian,Brian and Phil,Nightlife to Bad Reputation. That lineup just clicked.

  • Im a Lizzy fan and all guitarists gave something of their own to the band, Gary More challenged Philips ability and Philip rose above that bar with his vocals on the Moore tracks , sykes brought new enegry to the band and as for Robertson what a legend he leaves. Snowy White misunderstood the whole vocation and produced nothin in my opinion.

    great track

    thanks

  • sorry, cant beat Brian Robertsons work

  • great!

  • great found, 5 stars
