College Football - 2001 #1 Miami Hurricanes @ #14 Virginia Tech Hokies (ESPN Classic)

The Classic 2001 Miami Hurricanes team needed one last victory to get to the Rose bowl National Title Game. They were beating opponents by an average of 34 points this year, and before this game, the closest anyone has got to beating Miami was Boston College, Miami won 18-7. Miami was coming off of 2 huge wins over highly ranked teams. A 59-0 win over Syracuse, and a 65-7 win over Washington. Virginia Tech, was coming into the game with 2 losses, one in a close game to Syracuse, and another, in a Pittsburgh rout. Miami, was hoping to rout VT, but VT would put up a close game.
