That sound is the whine of straight cut gears. If ur getting that sound and without straight cut gears then u got problems

i know this! and also some production cars have gear whining when they were bought new. my sonata had a faint gear whine on first gear. just saying. its just stressed gears. i know...

@richrich27 The gear whine is from the Straight cut gears. Normal production cars have diagonally cut gears that are weaker but dont produce the whining noise. Straight cut gears are stronger but make a lot more noise.

@Unphased409 no... the gears were brand new when they put it in the car so it whines because it doesnt have enough oil in it. if u hear before he drifts he runs over some bumps and the gears are stressing and not stressing. so it is the gears... it does sound like a supercharger but no one in japan made a supercharger that whines that loud :D
