Okay, so first and foremost please don't bash the pairing. .__. If you don't enjoy it you can just not watch it.

I, personally, love Fang and Lightning as a pairing, because they seem very different to me, very contrasting.
Fang has been with Vanille for as long as she can remember, and defiantly has deep feelings for her, but after so many years of waking up and going back to sleep, she's feeling them starting to loosen. Especially when she meets Lightning before she and Vanille are reunited.
Lightning is fast to anger, but she stands firm for what she believes in, which draws Fang closer to her. And the closer she gets, the more threatened Lightning feels, even as they start to progress into a sort of "relationship", to which Lightning will not admit to. Even Fang has her breaking points, and a lot of times their fights turn into huge blow-outs that leave them both hurting afterwords.
Fang just keeps thinking "Maybe you coulda been something I'd be good at."
Lightning stays stubborn, refusing to let the argument go, even though she feels guilty for saying some of the things she'd said. And Fang ends up cooling off first to come back make damn sure they make-up. (Fang doesn't like ending things on a sour note.) She continues to pursue Lightning, though their love is really doubtful at times.

I'll probably do a bit more with this pairing, though not right now. I have another project to work on involving Hope. ( With a man. c: ) So until then, I hope FangxLightning"Claire-u~" fans will enjoy this~
