Dude I agree, Years ago I owned a Dogo Argentino in Africa, he was loyal, trustworthy, obedient and a friend he lived a long life and died in peace, I was PROUD to be his owner, He never acted dangerously or attacked anyone, I trained him since he was a Pup, he grew up to be the Guardian of our house hold.
I trained him well and correctly, people who abuse this position as Trainer and force them to fight should be imprisoned and suffer a weekly beating.

Well it's not being bit by a human that I'm worried about. It's being stabbed, shot, poisoned, beaten with a bat/club/crobar, or ran over and left to die that I'm worried about.
I'm not getting into cats vs dogs though, that's a argument that can go on for centuries (in fact I believe it has.)

There was only one thing I disagreed with. You said about them locking on, this is a very misleading myth. Other than that, owners I find are to blame. Sometimes they don't realise what they do is bad though. For example spoiling the dog, not being dominant.

All dogs are naturally dangerous, like most animals, humans included.
But humans are intelligent enough to understand social norms and laws, and consequences, which makes them more predictable. You have much higher probability of a dog biting you than you have of a human biting you.
Domestic cats are better than dogs in this sense because cats aren't territorial like dogs and they always escape if they can, rather than attack you. And they can't bite you like dogs can.

its true, any dog can be taught to be agressiv or to attak

Well, I have two friends who have rescued pit bulls and a friend who rescued a greyhound. Uh...I let my girls pick a pup and kitty from the pound. And while I appreciate and respect animals, I think of the safety of people first. Having children does that to a person, you know.

this question coincides with the gay marriage debate, nature versus nurture. are certain animals prone to violence, acting on instinct, or does their environment encourage this behavior.
are certain people prone to have sex with their likeness from birth or is this behavior encouraged as a result of their environment.
this applies to heterosexuals, bisexuals, mocking birds and the like.

There was a report recently about a puppy being stamped to death. Now that person has got to be a complete psychopath, but because it's an animal, he'll probably only get two years, or maybe a fine. And yes he was a hooded chav, only 15!

That story might have been what got thinking about dog cruelty, I couldn't get to grips with what would make someone do something like that, except for what you've just suggested - he's a psychopath. I don't doubt that he'll do something like this again, but if it's a child he'll be treated as the sicko he is

I agree.
I don't think dogs are ever born to behave like that. As you said, they need to be dished out physical abuse to turn out like that. And yeah, your right. People who treat them this way and who train dogs for fighting should be given a bigger punishment. Ever watched the film "condemned?" Well, its basically a film where a load of prisoners fight on an island where only one will survive. That's what should happen to people who treat animals like that. :D
