Ce n'est pas la plus facile d'Al Stewart, à apprivoiser. Maitrise et profondeur. Remarquable!

Brilliant. Dark, evocative, fascinating... sepulchral.

@akitaroy Amen, you couldn't be more correct !!!

One of the best guitar solos EVER.

I was serving in the Navy on a submarine (Trident - SSBN 728 USS Florida) and felt the significance of this song. I love the whole album (Time Passages) but this really resonated with me.

At the time when this album was released I was reading the novel "On the Beach". Then I heard this song and it just blew me away of the shear coincedence.
And the guitar solo is just phenominal.

Yes indeed, it did turn Yellow Submarine there for a few bars! As a quirky kid at 10 years old, I used to like to creep myself out by this song in my parents' record collection and I think it had some very great influence in my music. This song's lead, plus Eddie Van Halen and Brian May pretty much got me going on guitar.

Absolutely a priceless song, album very well produced by Alan Parson's, a musical and producing genius!!
