@mrspivvy , Lol! The Packard system would leak down if the car was not driven for a few days and the bumpers would be touching the ground! I believe you are right about those systems being options on cadilliacs and they had the same problem. I love those forward look Mopars!
@GenericGene Yeah I think it was only detail differences between '57 and 58, ie, the 57's had "fake" dual beam headlights, the '58 proper ones, lower front grille was different, etc. I would love one of any from '57-'59, and it needn't even be red
@bwild61 I *think* some cadillacs could have it as an option too (maybe this was a couple of years later?) but it was never a particularly reliable system from what I've read. Gotta love those forward look Plymouths though, visually stunning to my eye

Torsion bar suspension. I know detroit was messing about with air bag suspension back then but don't know if Plyouth ever had it.
