  • Its only a hard brick when the phone is 100% UNRESPONSIVE battery/button/usb

    Hardbricks are usually caused by mixing bootloaders.

    i9000 sbl + T959v pbl = hardbrick but

    i9000 sbl + i9000 sbl = no problem

    If the phone still yields reponse to USB/button/battery then its only a softbrick and is easily recoverable.
