In Loving Memory Of Kristin Durante

Kristin Durante was diagnosed at the tender age of twenty two with Brainstem Glioma (tumor). Unfortunately this type of cancer is not common and is especially rare in Kristin's age group which does not seem to warrant the necessary attention to provide the support for research and treatment.Kristin did not give up her fight, she continued to hope that the treatment she was receiving would shrink or paralyze her tumor. This type of tumor does not have a positive prognosis, which is approximately 1-3 years, rarely 5 of survival. Kristin was diagnosed on May 30, 2006 and died seven months later on Dec. 23rd.In order to receive something positive from Kristin's death, it is our goal to raise a minimum of $30,000.00 which would enable the specialists to continue their research and hopefully will ultimately lead to a cure so fewer families will be affected by this very progressive brain tumor.In saying that, we are asking for your support. Your support will help us reach our goal so that the dedicated specialists receive the funds desperately needed for vital Brain tumor research.
