Stick attack: Fan draws goalie-blood during KHL game

KHL regular season champions Salavat Yulaev (Салават Юлаев) have asked for their next play-off game against Avtomobilist (Автомобилист) to be held behind closed doors. The appeal follows a fan attack on their net-minder Vitaly Koles-nik, who suffered concussion. An Avtomobilist supporter broke into the Salavat bench area late in the first period and hit the keeper on the head with a stick. Kolesnik needed first aid.
