@Rationalific did you pointed japan as among the worst building in the world? so, are you still staying in japan when an earthquake occured 3 months ago? i just want to know what is the result? could you please tell me?
I'm confused he says: Japanese architects are the most audacious and inventive in the world today." Yet as he says this he is standing in front of the Prada building, which was designed by swiss architects, not japanese. He looks like an idiot who knows nothing about architecture. Although, what I think he meant to say was architecture in japan. As there are still many foreign architects doing work in japan as well as the japanese themselves.
I live in Japan. The buildings are among the worst in the world. The great ones are few and far between. If you live here instead of being led around on a "North Korea-style We Show You Only The Best" tour, you'll realize that pretty darn quickly.
All out there don't believe me? Go to Google Earth or Google Maps and click on Tokyo and go to a random street using "Street View". Compare the results to your own city, no matter where you live.
