I understand the convenience of the Steinberger but it still sounded like shit!!!!
-
@chrisbmets I think I remember reading somewhere that the Steinberger was more conducive to the live show around these times because of all the switching between keys and bass (less body material and no head on the neck to get in the way).

Power Windows was one of the first CDs I ever purchased and the sound quality absolutely blew me away. Loved it.

in the film, al said that doing the guitar parts for power windows was really really difficult... but imo its some of his finest playing. Some peeps complain his sound was kinda too thin and tinny back then, but he did so much variety on the album it balances out really nicely.
-
@RollTheFemers I too long for Alex to return to this sound. They sounded like no one else.
-
@Guyisthere I loved it! It was a different sound, yes. Bright, yes. But great for those 80s tunes! They just don't sound right nowadays when he plays them on the Gibsons, IMO. :-/ Plus, he got some awesome clean tones on his Signatures! :-D

@Guyisthere And please, Alex, bring back your Strats and Signature guitars!
It's the power and the glory, it's a war in paradise. A Cinderella story, on a tumble of the dice!!

Um...I belive that's the camera, not the actual lighting. I saw this tour and the stage was NEVER this dark.
