Mozambique - video footage of VSO's HIV & AIDS work - Part 1

VSO has produced a new video highlighting our work with a partner organisation, Reencontro.

As part of our RAISA (Regional AIDS Initiative of Southern Africa) programme in Mozambique, VSO and Reencontro run income-generation projects and provide vocational training in areas such as sewing and carpentry to help HIV positive women and men earn a living.

RAISA is a four-year initiative seeking to strengthen the response to the HIV & AIDS pandemic in Southern Africa. It aims to join forces with government institutions and civil society organisations to provide effective prevention, treatment, care and advocacy for people affected by HIV & AIDS, and to mitigate the personal, social and economic impact of the pandemic.

I would like to see all of Africa rapidly expand their health care service. The problem with evolution is it can be very destructive. If another virus like HIV/AIDS emerges,I want us all to be ready to stop it.
