Jeremy Brett stars as the remarkable protagonist of Arthur Conan Doyle's novels.

  • Thanks for posting this, it's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy this master piece of writing, acting, wardrobe, scenery. It was simply a SUPERB, enjoyable and faithful version, Arthur Conan Doyle would be proud of the producers, technicians, artists and actors. No better Holmes than this, before or after. Adorable series.

  • Jeremy Brett and David Suchet are the best actors ever !!!!!!

Nobody else ever created better performances !!

  • @citybird29 That is a fair criticism. I see no reason why they couldn't have added an additional minute or two to tackle that. Some episodes are 55 minutes long, and this one hardly exceeds 50 minutes if you exclude the credits.

  • I could probably make it through an episode of one of these modern medical dramas if they prescribed as much booze as Watson does. Love it.

  • Freddie Francis vs Jeremy Brett...two truly wonderful character actors at their peak...really wonderful.

  • I could have sworn that old guy said he had wool and pornography in his bag that he could show them.

  • The particular episode fails to throw light on how and why the unfortunate man was asked by Mr. Garcia to stay with him. Somehow they missed it in the narrative but its there in the book.
