@SageAndOnions Ignorance doesn't equate to propaganda and I think you'll find that most of the world is guilty of it, especially the Eurozone and their inability to tackle the soverign debt crisis. The state doesnt own the major media outlets. Dissent is allowed and encouraged in the US. What I'm tired of are useless wars, all the oil in Iraq went to russians or chinese and Afghanistan's got squat. Dont even give me the military spending defense, production hasnt been up in years.

@Wilsontheterrible well yes, you do have these freedoms. But, in reality, how many Americans do go online and find out this information? Their minds are filled with a constant stream of propaganda to leave them confused about life. And, you cannot request information on 'top secret' projects. The illusion of freedom is a powerful thing, yes, but it is still not freedom. And why do you think its ok to invade countries for resources? I hope to God Americans wouldnt agree with it if told upfront.

@SageAndOnions Considering I'm online right now and able to express dissenting views on the matter, the fact I'm allowed to request information on virtually any government program via the FoIA, and the fact that most media outlets are privately owned Id say Im pretty well off. Quite frankley I think most Americans would be fine with invading countries for resources, they'd just like to be told so upfront. Russians on the otherhand dont get any of those benefits, like i said. Weird

@Wilsontheterrible Huh, American presidents have been killing innocent people in countries too poor to defend themselves in an effort to bring so-called democracy and peace through war, stripping these countries of natural resources in the process (such as oil, coka and poppy fields - which they distribute to their own citezens for profit) by chance ofcourse, and use propaganda to keep their own people unbelievably stupid and ignorant as to what is going on. And people still fall for it? Wierd

Huh, Putin rigs an election and has built a career on corrupting the system in his favor, the life expectancy for russians is at a miserable low, and the only thing keeping the country from complete economic collapse is oil, a finite resource. And people still support him? Weird.
