In May 2008 Emmet Ryan killed a Lenovo X300 laptop with a cappuccino. In late July that same laptop was brought back to the scene of its demise. Did the X300 rise from the grave?

  • In the article to which this video was originally attached we explained it. The spill video was a test, which the laptop failed.

We felt it would be interesting to see if Lenovo had repaired it so we were sent back the original model for a second video after they did so.

  • Hail to thinkpad!!!

  • I believe he sent it in to get the mainboard replaced. Same thing happened to me, except mine has actually been sitting in our lab for about a month....and still no power. We're opting to get the board replaced ($395 from lenovo)

  • You haven't explained what happened to it between the period when you spilled the coffee it wouldn't power on & it functioning now.

Was it repaired? or was it just sitting unused all this time, What do you mean getting it back? And if it was sent for repair, this defeats the whole purpose of the spill video.
