@Drekora I haven't visited this video in a long time, and I saw this comment so I decided to respond. Self-defense is not genocide. Genocide is what the Arab Muslims are doing to the black Christians in Sudan. And, by the way, Israel has taken in Sudanese refugees, and has done this for other people, as well. Calling Israel racist for defending herself is like calling America racist for the large number of blacks in prison.

@sumguyzercomin Quite the contrary. Koestler's claim has been disproven by DNA evidence. He also was not a trained academic, he mistreated women, and he made a suicide pact with his wife. And converts to Judaism have existed since Biblical days and continue to exist to this day.

@m180322 hasidics are maybe a different story. some of them are anti-zionists themselves. they also typically don't serve in the army, and that creates some bad blood between them and other israelis. again, some of them are great people, and some not so much - just like any one else. blanket statements are never a good thing...

@m180322 that's crazy. there's no real animosity between sephardis and ashkenazis in israel. to illustrate, im half ashkenazi and half sephardi. the MAJORITY of kids in my school in israel were "mixed" ashkenazi and sephardi. sure, you may hear some old timer sephardis or ashkenazis rag on each other from time to time, but its nothing serious on either side and is becoming a non-issue as the younger generations mix. the things sephardis and ashkenazis have in common eclipse the differences

@davidubyer Jews and acts as though we don't have a say. The point in Israel is to have a nation for all Jews to prevent acts of injustice and genocide. But how can I support a Hasidic Jew who thinks that I'm nothing more than scum? My aunt lives in Manhattan, in an area where Hasidic's have moved in recently. She claims that Hasidic's won't even hold a door open for you and that they talk down to you if you are not one of their own.

How can I support such people?

@davidubyer I'm a math/science student, so I'll have to wait until the summer until I can sit down and read a few books on Israel so that I can have an educated approach and come to a logical conclusion on whether or not to support Israel. But I see a lot of quotes bashing Ashkenazi Jews, as if we're not Jewish to begin with. As if we're below Sephardi Jews. Frankly, it makes my opinion currently slanted. Why would I support a group of people that looks down on nonpracticing and Ashkenazi
