@bettobetum The cross is made out of television sets that are lit on fire. MM has always pointed out how society worships TV as if it's a god, trusting and listening to anything it says. On the same album as this, there's a song called Astonishing Panorama of the End Times, with the lyrics "Kill your God, Kill your TV." Manson is many things, but he isn't racist. It's more symbolic for killing your beliefs than anything.

@Hellion6325
You are all wrong and right (except MechanicalWood, whom is completely wrong). Mechanical Animals is a concept album revolving around two characters (Alpha and Omēga). Omēga is a drug-addicted glam rocker androgynous alien who has become numb to the world around him, while Alpha is just regaining his emotions and is vulnerable. Both wish to assimilate into society. There's much more to the whole thing, but this song is from the perspective of Alpha.
