Well I dont really know much about the quad cores I am used to dual cores also from experiance some of my friends tried switching the default dual core heatsinks to their quad cores and it fried their processors because of too much heat. I recommend a high quality one which supports quad cores. Lastly if the Mobo isnt made to support the quad core it probably wont boot the computer anyways because it has to be the same slot type. Lol kinda obvious dual has half as many processors and less total GHZ and also the technology is not as new. So yeah of course I would pick a quad over a dual any day lol ;).
