We paid homage last week to this very set piece in Sunshine Again! Bill and Rita sing two alternate versions of a very nice Joe Raposo gem expressing the word "like" in a particularly lovely way.

Oddly Bill Cosby's part of this song gets rerun in quite a few episodes, but Rita's verse is usually cut. Shame really, the full version works so much better.

Absolutely wonderful! Very beautiful, and just a wonderful. And it shows that Rita can sing something very straight and hits the heart like nothing else can!

Interesting that Bill did this song with his 'mother' as somewhat of a spoof of 'American Gothic' (with a mother and son instead of a father and daughter), while Rita sang it straight with her own actual daughter. Despite Rita's sincere affection sung to her, the poor child seemed downright petrified to be on camera. This is the only time we'd see Rita playing her actual self as opposed to a character on the show.

Absolutely, and what a good song to sing. Indeed it was the only time that Rita wasn't Millie; Otto or Pandora, and she sang it straight and from the heart.

Growing up watching the first one, for some reason I never got it that Cosby on the left was portraying a woman!

Join the club as far as "baby bells" going off.I'd LOVE to have a little girl like that.(closest thing to her is my 7 yr old niece & 4 month old niece)  On the subject of this video though, Rita's daughter is cute!
