This show is a classic I miss real TV.

They should bring this show back. And all the great classic shows.

I don't like alot of the new shows they are not as funny. And careing as what was made back.

In the 50's 60's and 70's.

There a network out in the area called MeTv;it carries a lot of the classic tv shows Mary Tyler Moore is one of them there showing the 2nd season you have to check their website for station, times and city/state and maybe cable and sattelite.

at the beginning there is a smiling woman with the large glasses who walks past mary. In the city i grew up in, there was a woman who looks like her so I assumed the show must be local even though they said minneapolis.

I was a child, things aren't supposed to make complete sense lol

@6400az Your right! I don't get it either! I wonder if we will ever go back to decent programing. Although I do seem glimpes of hope every now and again. However, I still wonder if they can actually capture that again. I know, from talking to other people that most are frustrated with the crap they serve up on tv. Lets hope people voice their opinion about it. If someone wants reality tv, they can film my exciting life. Believe me, it would be a snooze fest of epic proportions! lol

The shows thta really get me ( in a bad way) are those that show people getting injured. Such as skateboarders falling and just mangling their ankles or elbows. There is another one where they use a silicone human body, and then compare wich weapon causes the most damage. Absolute carnage. What type of people find this rewarding, how can one feel good after watching these. Thanks.

@6400az Sorry for the long delay, I never know when people reply to me.... Your absolutely right. Shock, hype, and plain rudeness seems to be the entertainment today. I don't want to sound like a prude, but come on.... television isn't suppose to offend, to enrich our lives with arts and entertainment, to inform, to teach, its suppose to give us points of view to mentally digest, not the crap they put out these days. TV just turns me OFF! Thanks again for the reply! I appreciate it!

@Mickey2206 Yes, that is a Fran Tarkenton jersey she is wearing. The MTM show is set in Minneapolis, home of the Vikings, and Tarkenton at that time was what we would now call "the face of the franchise." Coincidentally, the Mary Tyler Moore show ran during the greatest period in Minnesota Vikings history (1970-1977). I could be wrong, but I believe the joggers she passes in front of the lake are wearing Vikings jerseys, too. Don't know about the second part of your question--interesting!

A.) Is Mary wearing a Fran Tarkenton shirt when she is washing her car?

2.) Does Lou, Murray, and Ted represent The scarecrow, The Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion respectively?

Correction, she is not putting the meat back but just looks disgusted at

The MTM show comes on at 8 PM M-F on the MeTV network, MeTV has

a very limited distribution at this time but lucky for me they have it on

Comcast where I live. It is so much better than most of the current shows

on at that time.
