the red 'graph' you see is a [multislider] object, open the inspector for this object and set the range (Y axis) to whatever you want, in his case 0. to 1., and set number of sliders to 100 or so, and set display to scroll. It's kind of like a DIY dynamic graph when used like this, for input display rather than output.

it's aimed at someone tackling maxmsp for the first time, but with a bit of an idea of concepts from the tutorials - i did try to pack too much info in though, blame youtube 10min limit

I understand.... everyone talks about the learning curve for max, and especially not having the program in front of me yet, I probably need to just read the tutorials first and learn some of the jargon. Then I'll come back and watch this :)

@ronnie9253 i'm testing out the multislider right now. i'm getting a line instead of a graph looking figure. i'm not sure where to 'set displace to scroll' part comes in?
