Yeah I remember a question for my algebra honors asking me for the amount of time a person fell with a single simple x= (definite variable) x (definite simple number) no where did it take in air velocity, drag and other key physics components that occur in real-life situations although this might not particularly deal with calculus it just comes to show how simple and unreal algebra is but on the other hand it gets students into the mode of graphing and solving and thus builds up to more comple
