This is for my beloved friend, Jackie : ) I LOVE YOU!!!!

A 1999 film, "Mansfield Park" written and directed by Patricia Rozema, is inspired by Jane Austen's novel by the same name, Jane Austen herself, and her letters. This movie is perhaps the most experimental Jane Austen adaptation so far - you are in for a surprise.

Starring Frances O'Connor as Fanny Price, Jonny Lee Miller as Edmund Bertram, Embeth Davidtz as Mary Crawford, and Alessandro Nivola as Henry Crawford.

  • this movie is great but the book version is still the best

  • @ladybugs7ful In my opinion Fanny was brave BECAUSE she stayed true to her love of Edmund. Fanny was very passionate, it just wasn't expressed in the same matter that Henry showed his passion. Plus, she would have never been happy with Henry, his personality was too strong for her, she preferred Edmund's caring, gentle personality. I believe that they would have been very happy together. :)

  • HANNAH TAYLOR GORDON!!!

  • I don't like that they write her off from the start as ugly. SHES NOT ugly; she just looks homely; underfed; and her appearance needs to be spruced up!! COME ON; she looks cute as a kid. I never liked Aunt Norris; shes SUCH a BITCH!! Calling her niece ugly; she didn't say it; but u know what she meant!! AND NOONE wants her to leave with them!!

  • Wow.... what a big welecome to her new home. Let me see..... her mom won't write toher and her aunt is really severe. Really impressive

  • I love this move so far!:D

  • @xfrogix I agree. I have never been able to finish reading Emma either. Though I like to watch the BBC series with Romola Garai as Emma.
