how can you hide whilst lying on the ground being kicked by two utd players ?
-
@whitt45 Schmeichel didn't play for United then, you utter clown. I was right in front of it, Winterburn did his usual trick of hiding behind everyone else (see 'Di Canio').

@Zorg2006 u were there er doesnt sould like it winterburn in that fight was on the ground being kicked by a utd player after he went down, this sparked a massive ruck which only schmeical and seaman werent involved in, Arsenal won the game and got deducted 2 points still won the league as well, nothing changed utd still have refs in their pockets and still cheat
-
I was right at the front, yards away from the fight at Old Trafford a couple of years later. Seeing Winterburn absolutely shit himself hiding behind his mates was hilarious.

@masstransit2 I think it's cuntishness not cuntushness, but I accept your deferral
-
As do you, In fact you win, I defer to your superior cuntushness
-
@masstransit2 you clearly know a thing or two about being a cunt. Hats off to you.

Winterburn wasn't goading him for missing the penalty. If you southen muppets knew your history (Instead of becoming an Arsenal supporter when they were winning stuff) you would know he was goading him while he was preparing to take it. I remember my mate punching a 13 year old after this game outside Highbury. Out of order yes but highly fuckin funny

Winterburn is a bigger cunt. The season after McLair grabbed the downs syndrome lookin cunt by the throat right in front of me at OT and Donkey Adams scored 2 goals in a 1-1 draw

I remember being a 7 year old watching this game on rte.The first game i remember as a united fan.Though we lost,as we frequently did back then,i was hooked forever.Must admit though i was almost certain that the camera angle was from the other side of the pitch.(i.e mcClair kicked peno from left to right as we look)Maybe it was just my tiny little mind not deciphering the right angle but what the heck was a cracking game.
Actually a number of you have this wrong. Rocastle was sent off at Old Trafford in 1986-87 season, Brian McClair was still at Celtic at that time and Winterburn was at Wimbledon. Whiteside & co. kicked Arsenal off the park that day and as a result ended our club record unbeaten run (as it was at the time) and David O'Leary called the animals after the game. THIS fantastic miss was the start of the trouble which bubbled up again in 1990.

@JimmyatHighbury Yeah a real highlight for me too. I was only 14 so was standing in the junior Gunners section. One of the best atmosphere's Iand biggest crowds I was ever in at Highbury. 15,000 or so Man United fans played their part. Funnily enough just a few days later another massive crowd and amazing atmosphere when we beat Everton 3-1 in the 2nd leg of the Littlewoods cup to get to the final. Great days. I loved the early years of the George Graham era.
