In this section of the video, we will cut all of the pieces into their proper shape. There are some things you should keep in mind while doing this.

-Use a jig, don't try to do this by hand.
-Check your jig before every cut, to make sure it hasn't moved.
-Cut the piece straight down, don't stop halfway to flip the piece.
-Wear safety glasses while you are cutting. Spending 10 minutes looking for a big pair of glasses is much less annoying than spending all day trying to blink out a grain you got in your eye. If you're using a dremel, don't be a fucking idiot. You NEED safety glasses.
-If your arm, or your thumb get tired or sore, stop working for awhile. You'll probably just end up making mistakes if you're tired.
-If you start getting frustrated, stop working for the day. Seriously... you're going to fuck it up. Leave it alone and come back tomorrow when your mind is fresh.

So the mitre is pretty cool, eh? It cuts faster and more precisely than a dremel, and is way easier to use.

  • Would a small band saw be a good tool to use in replacement of the mitre?

  • @MiniUziNation Yes, a scroll saw or band saw with a tilted table would be pretty awesome for this.
