I just got the surface sideburn piercing yesterday and I bought sea salt, but do I put warm water in a cup then put the salt in? And put my head over it? Or something?
Hey I have gotten both my collarbone surface piercings 4 weeks ago...and I have no swelling or redness...but they are purple..what does that mean?? Any advice??
Also, most antibacterial soaps like Dial are WAY too harsh for a piercing. Clearly Natural is a really good all natural soap if you want to go that route, but be sure to use the unscented kind. This is coming from an APP affiliated piercer with ten years of experience. Also, do not use Neosporin or any other ointments.
Any of you HACKS on here who are telling people to use ear care solution, bactine, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, or REGULAR SALT in a sea salt soak do not deserve to have a piercing. Sea salt soaks and the occasional wash with a good antimicrobial soap like Satin or Provon is all you need. You only need to really soak your piercing once a day unless it is a more temperamental one, then twice a day. 1/4 tsp sea salt to 1 cup hot water. H2Ocean is great but does not replace general aftercare.
kool video . hey men am about to get my lip pierce and i have a question is it bad to play with like move it around with my tounge or is it just a lie ?
ah! dial soap?!? i know you posted this comment over 4 months ago but hopefully someone else said something to you. If you haven't lost the piercing already, stop using dial. Use a saline solution or salt water soaks to clean your piercing. Dial is waaay too harsh and will irritate the wound.
I just recently got my nape pierced, about a week and a half ago. The right hole seems to be healing fine, but the left hole has started to get a red bump around the entrance of the post. It doesn't hurt, but it started out small and has grown a little bigger. I've been washing it twice a day with dial soap. It this just part of the healing process or is something wrong?
Can I use hydrogen peroxide on my surface sideburn piercing?

i wouldn't reccomend using bactine. H2Ocean is better for me. The bactine made my belly really red.

My experience has been that Dial soap is fine as long as the piercing is thoroughly rinsed after.
