Oh look New Orleans... nobody is shooting helicopters, fireman, cops or raping and looting. I can think of one main differance between the people of New Orleans and the people of Brisbane. That differance is why they are not doing the aforementioned savage things. Good luck to you all!

Why are hotels entertaining flies when they should be opening their doors to flood victims??
Firstly I would like to say once again the people of Australia , I mean the everyday little people of Australia have come together to help their friends, their neighbours, their fellow country men. Offering them food, money, clothing and even a bed to sleep.

So if We let CALOUNDRA SOUTH development go ahead then isn't the Bligh Government going to simply put 50,000 more people at risk of MORE FLOODPLAIN Development and thus SERIOUS RISK of Loss and Flooding in the future?
Why doesn't a smar reporter pick up on that side of the unfolding disasters around SEQ?
that would be another 50,00 people displaced ?
isn't that worth a comment or more importantly a TOTAL RETHINK?
