@TheAntiV in australia it is very difficult to get guns, and we have hardly any shootings, we've only ever had one school shooting at a university ten years ago. In fact we've had 8 shooting sprees since 1915. In your stated studies, they only sampled a country with easy access to guns, if the criminals/mentally unstable can't get guns then there is no one to defend from with guns. Although I am not on facepalmization's side as I do not know exactly what he his arguing.
