I tried to show my wife how to ski last night, for her 1st time on the slopes, so I totally get the frustration these instructors deal with. However, I suspect over 32,000 people clicked on this hoping to get some good advice that wasn't dominated by "expertvillage" and sadly lost out.

you laugh but i teach skiing and im honestly not joking adults can actually be like this.

My instructor (at Wisp, MD) trained me on snow that was so packed it was like ice....no one could stand up, and he was training us on a freakin hill. I wanted to ask for my money back. My second lesson was so much better, at White Tail in PA, and worth every penny. I swear I came clear down the mountain with good skills. I love going to SugarMountain NC. I went to Aspen and there were dirt patches. Met Garth Brooks though. Lift lines were ridiculously long.
