That app is the free version of Object Dock. You can tell it to put the dock anywhere you like. Very nice and free app.

Is the wi-fi on the far left in the corner of the laptop?

And also, is the keyboard comfortable and firm?

The keyboard is perfect. The wifi switch is on the right side of the laptop.

I think pretty much all laptops get hot when you use them. Especially if you sit them in your lap.

even now If you want good power in a under14 laptop this machine is hard to beat, go with the best core 2 duo you can stick in it tho, T8500 I think.Great ,tough, all around laptop
