Slim River Water Rafting - Raft stuck in whirpool

Slim River Water Rafting in Perak Malaysia. A dangerous situation where the raft bumped into another which was stuck in a whirlpool. In the end, the other raft got out while our raft was stuck in the whirlpool for about 5 minutes before a rope was thrown to us and we were pulled out of that situation. Water was gushing in while all the rafters help on tight and prevented the raft from overturning.

Hi there, it was absolutely fun and no I have not tried rafting in Laos. Soon!

In this video, you see how we were stuck for almost 5 minutes in this rapid whirlpool before one of the guides jumped out to get a rope and pull us out of it. I had to stop the video as the water was gushing in non-stop and the raft was constantly moving from left to right.

it's called a hydraulic, not a whirlpool...it does look weak

looks so fun! you must be brave to go rafting with all those big rocks in the water. very dangerous to me. i'm glad everyone has safey equipment on. have you try water rafting in laos???
