Hi, am a fello BK amputee. I just recently have my leg cut off and I been dealing with my prothetic for 3 months know. My first socket had a vacuum system similar to yours but without the pump and last me for about 2.5 months. Know I a have a new socket but this time I wanted to try the channel lock system. I been with the new socket for about 2 weeks and it feels a bit different. I know is going to take me a few months to walk without a cane. Gracias for the video. Saludos

So do you carry that pump with you the whole day? there are many situations during a day where the vakuum can and will be comprimised. Don't get me wrong but isn't bock's harmony a better solution? Or what are the pro's opposed to harmony and OWW's new gadget?

Never knew how much work went into it just to go for a walk.

our liner is made of medical grade silicone. When the liner is new it helps to cut down on the amount of sweating. The ointment also cuts down on friction. As The liner gets "seasoned" the amount of oil or ointment you will need is minimal. Many wearers switch to an thinner product, such as Neutrogena unscented oil.
I don't know what kind of liner you wear?
thanks a bunch

Thanks for your comment! The ointment is actually an A&D ointment which will not clog pores or be quite as greasy as Vaseline would be. The idea is to reduce friction between the limb and the liner, thus helping to prevent uncomfortable rubbing or blistering on the skin.
