Socialism means:'a set of beliefs which states that all people are equal and should share equally in a country's money, or the political systems based on these beliefs' This is basically the aims of the founding fathers. So what is the problem. In Canada, UK, etc. people are treated well at less than half the cost in the US. Taxes are what buy me civilization - Oliver Wendell Holmes; we must all hang together or assuredly we will all hang separately - Benjamin Franklin.

Here (in The Netherlands), we've got one of the best health-insurances in the world..
We get about €4000 per person per year from the government...
In America you get about $325 (right? xD)

so.. you're health policies suck.

I work for an ambulance company in the US ... and since I am not technically full time (even though there are weeks that I work 60-70 hours a week) but yet not full time for the company, I do not receive health insurance ... I've had patients that refused medical care due to not having health insurance, when they needed ambulance transport (i.e. amputation, acute MI's, etc.) and they declined due to health insurance not being provided ... I am sick of US policy on health insurance !!!!

I do not blame the ambulance company I work for ... I blame the system in it's entirety ... I have been an advocate for universal health care in this country for many years now ... I am scared for myself because there have been times when I should have been hospitalized ... but did not go because I did not have health insurance (one time was extreme dehydration due to an aggressive GI virus where I vomited 18 times over a course of 8 hours) and still did not go to the hospital

I wish we could act as a more responsible nation such as yours for our benefit ... we live in a wonderful nation, but only if people want you to live (i.e. if you have insurance) ... when will this country pull this collective head out of it's collective ass and take care of it's sick and it's veterans !!!! It makes me sad ...

Canada's health care is better, sorry to inform you

My mom has cancer. If the insurance company was to drop her coverage, so help me god I would go burn down their headquarters. I hope they've got fire insurance.

Communism is only one form of socialism and that's not the form we need. Just because more and more Americans are turning to socialism doesn't mean were going communist.
