This record came in a box of records from an estate sale here in Portland. When I played it, I found it was Art Linkletter on the House Party show interviewing the last officially released POW from the Korean war, Capt Theodore Harris, a B-29 recon pilot shot down over North Korea. He spent 14 months in an interrogation camp. His wife and 7 year old daughter accompanied him at the interview. The estate sale was for the wife of the captain conducted by his daughter, the same 7 year old at the interview. Records like these were made by the technicians for guests interviewed on the House Party shows.
There were other items at the sale that confirmed Capt HArris' identity, including a small copper bust with a plaque commeorating his retirement from the Air Force in 1977 as a Lt Colonel.
Thanks for sharing this!
