@RWT683 It might have had a 10 percent chance if the Allied command of 1944 was as incompetent as that of 1940. Model may have thought that, but Rundstedt, who wasn't a Hitler sycophant, said the plan didn't have a leg to stand on. He only carried it out because he was ordered to. Patton wanted to deliberately let the Germans advance farther, then cut behind them and cut their whole army off. If he had, the war would have ended sooner.

Patton..who had outrun his supllies, pulled 3 divisions out of the winter battle, pivoted north and attacked. One of the finest monet in American military hostory. Patton was much more then a "star player" thats nonsense
